Estro Import and Export Pvt Ltd Co. was established in Ethiopia in 2011 by two brothers (Mr Daniel & Mr Samuel Waktole & Family). The two brothers have established the company with a great desire and passion to enter into pharmaceutical manufacturing which has come to a reality within just 10 years of the company’s establishment with a joint venture with Kilitchh Drugs India Ltd.

About Us
Established in 2015, Kilitch Estro Biotech PLC (KEB) is a joint-venture pharmaceutical manufacturing company formed through the collaboration of Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd. and Estro Import & Export PLC of Ethiopia, combining international pharmaceutical expertise with strong local market knowledge.
Located near Addis Ababa, KEB operates a state-of-the-art, cGMP-compliant manufacturing facility, with commercial production commencing in 2021. The facility is primarily dedicated to the large-scale manufacturing of sterile and non-sterile cephalosporin antibiotics, including tablets, capsules, dry powder for suspension, and dry powder for injection, while antiseptics and disinfectants are produced on a small-scale basis.
As the first and only local manufacturer in Ethiopia with dedicated cephalosporin manufacturing facilities, KEB plays a strategic role in strengthening national healthcare self-reliance while actively pursuing regional and international market expansion.
